Het slot van het drieluik, &quot;Verplegen&quot;, is het aangrijpende relaas van een aantal dementerende en zieke bejaarden.<br /> <br /> De gefilmde ouderen zijn zich kennelijk geen moment bewust van de aanwezigheid van de camera; ze zijn daardoor voortdurend en vaak vertederend &#039;zichzelf&#039;. Door de zorgvuldige werkwijze van Schmidt en Doebele is de kijker daarbij nooit tot een voyeur gedegradeerd.
